Karan Johar's mother Hiroo Johar discharged from hospital, recuperating at home

Filmmaker Karan Johar's mother, Hiroo Yash Johar, was recently hospitalised at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. While Karan Johar has not released an official statement regarding his mother's hospitalisation, reports indicate that Hiroo Johar has now been discharged and is recovering well at home.

According to India Today, Hiroo Johar is on the mend and recuperating comfortably at home. On Saturday, fashion designer Manish Malhotra was seen visiting Hiroo at the hospital. The exact reason for her hospitalisation has not been disclosed.

Karan Johar and Manish Malhotra’s cars were spotted entering the hospital on Saturday evening.

In 2021, Hiroo Johar underwent two significant surgeries: spinal fusion surgery and a right knee replacement.

Earlier this year, Karan Johar penned an emotional note on his Instagram, wishing his mother a happy birthday. He wrote, "Mothers are a force of nature…. They take unconditional love to a level that is almost unreal…. I am blessed to have a mother who grounded me and made me believe that professional achievements don’t define us… our behaviour does… she made me believe that goodness is more important than ambition and that if I am in the right or am correct in a circumstance or situation then there doesn’t need to be a battle…. Patience will give me the eventual validation…. Love you Mom and happy birthday… thank you for bringing me into this world and also becoming my world…"

Karan Johar recently made his directorial comeback with Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani that released in 2023. The film starred Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in lead roles.
