Kanguva, the next cinematic spectacle from Studio Green, is generating immense excitement and anticipation as one of the most awaited films of the year.

Producer K. E. Gnanavel Raja believes that this film will not only set a new benchmark for Indian cinema but also continue the trend of South Indian films redefining industry standards, a trend kickstarted by Kalki 2898 AD earlier this year. Gnanavel is unwavering in his confidence that Kanguva will become a box office blockbuster.

The film features Suriya, Bobby Deol and Disha Patani in lead, and is set to release on November 14, 2024.

In a recent interview, Gnanavel addressed the burgeoning trend of 1000 Crore collections in K-Town. When questioned about whether Kanguva would be the first Tamil film to cross the 1000-Crore mark, he emphasized his commitment to transparency. “I intend to submit the GST from Studio Green and provide appropriate documentation regarding the Kanguva Box Office Collection,” he stated. “In the future, all interested parties may verify this information with other producers to ensure they are aware of the genuine Box Office collection reports.”

Gnanavel did not stop there. When asked if he was confident Kanguva could achieve the milestone of entering the 1000-Crore club, he boldly declared, “I am expecting a 2000-Crore BO collection. Why are you underestimating it with the 1000-Crore mark?”

Kanguva is touted to be the biggest and most expensive film of the year, with an estimated budget exceeding 350 Crore. This places it ahead of other blockbuster titles such as Pushpa and Singham. The film has been shot in seven different countries, showcasing a range of stunning landscapes and settings.

With a unique premise set in the prehistoric period, the makers have meticulously crafted a distinct look for the film, hiring experts from Hollywood to ensure top-notch quality in the technical departments, including action choreography and cinematography.

Additionally, Kanguva features one of the largest war sequences ever filmed in Indian cinema, involving over 10,000 participants. To maximize its reach and impact, Studio Green has partnered with leading distribution houses for a worldwide release, aiming for a massive global footprint.
