Kailash Kher launches debut book Teri Deewani - Shabdon Ke Paar

In his book, the acclaimed singer offers a glimpse into his early struggles, his journey in the music industry, and the inspiration behind his most cherished songs.

Legendary singer Kailash Kher unveiled his debut book, Teri Deewani - Shabdon Ke Paar, at the Jaipur Literature Festival on January 31. The launch event featured Kailash Kher alongside Sanjoy K Roy and Vaishali Mathur.

In his book, the acclaimed singer offers a glimpse into his early struggles, his journey in the music industry, and the inspiration behind his most cherished songs. Through personal anecdotes and experiences, he delves into the stories that shaped both his life and his music. It uncovers the untold stories behind 50 of his most iconic songs, including Saiyaan, Teri Deewani, and Allah Ke Bande.

Kailash shared a glimpse of the book launch on Instagram along with the caption, "Teri Deewani has always been more than just a song—it’s an emotion. Now, seeing the love for Teri Deewani: Shabdon Ke paar at Jaipur Literature Festival is truly special! Grateful for all the love and energy!"

He also opened up about his journey at the Teri Deewani - Shabdon Ke Paar session, recalling his early struggles, including working at a newspaper and facing multiple rejections before entering the music industry through jingles.

He spoke about the evolution of his music, highlighting how songs like Teri Deewani go beyond mere words, capturing emotions and life experiences shaped over time.

Speaking of his inspiration for the book from his fans over the years, the singer said, "Over the years, many fans have asked me, 'Itna heart touching, deep likhte hain, tell us about the trivia, feelings and anecdotes behind these songs. Finally that has happened. Mere har gaane ke peeche ki choti-choti stores iss book mein hain."

Kher credited his father’s spiritual teachings as a major influence on his songwriting and expressed gratitude to Sanjoy K Roy for motivating him to embark on this literary journey.
