Swara Bhasker’s X account restored after suspension, actress writes, " back like a bad penny"

Swara Bhasker’s X account, which had been suspended two days ago, has now been restored. The actress took to social media to share the update and thanked her supporters.

She shared the update on X with a post that read, "And we are back like a bad penny. Thank you everyone who helped @XCorpIndia."

Swara Bhasker’s X account, which was suspended two days ago, has now been reinstated. The suspension was reportedly due to 'copyright infringement' linked to her Republic Day posts. She revealed that two of her tweets, including one wishing people on Republic Day, were flagged, resulting in the temporary ban.

On January 30, In a post on Instagram, Swara explained the situation. She said that two of her tweets were flagged as violating copyright. One tweet featured an image with an orange background and a Hindi slogan, "Gandhi Hum Sharmindaa hain, Tere qaatil zinda hain" (Gandhi, we are ashamed, your killers are alive). Swara argued that this slogan is a common expression used by progressive movements in India and shouldn't be subject to copyright. She compared it to a folk saying, stating, "There is no copyright violation. It is akin to urban modern folk idiom."

In a follow-up post, Swara Bhasker addressed the copyright violation issue. She also mentioned that while trying to restore her account, she discovered that her two-factor authentication had been turned off.
