The popular K-pop girl band Purple Kiss has disappointed their fans after announcing their disbandment. The group will disband in November 2025, just four years after they made their debut in 2021.
Purple Kiss’ agency RBW issued an official statement on August 4, announcing the disbandment. The agency expressed its deep regret over the end of the legacy. They also expressed gratitude to fans for their unwavering support.
The statement of the agency reads, “Because of the members’ deep affection for the group, we engaged in long and thoughtful discussions about how to move forward. As a result, we reached a conclusion based on mutual respect and support for each member’s individual dreams.”
The agency also expressed gratitude towards Purple Kiss’ six members, Na Go-eun, Dosie, Ireh, Yuki, Chaein and Swan, for their dedication and passion through all the ups and downs. RBW also appreciated the bands’ PLORY, who have stood by the group’s side in thick and thin.
The statement continued, “Every moment shone brightly because of the members who gave their all with passion and PLORY, who have always stood steadfastly by their side.”
However, Purple Kiss will continue with their scheduled activities despite the disbandment. They will release their upcoming English-language album at the end of August.
