Actor Aamir Khan recently made headlines for attending the naming ceremony of Tamil actor Vishnu Vishal and badminton champion Jwala Gutta’s daughter in Hyderabad. The event, held last week, became even more memorable when Aamir himself named the baby "Mira." In a heartfelt interview with Galatta Plus, Vishnu Vishal revealed the deep and emotional connection they share with Aamir — and the vital role he played in helping them become parents.

Vishnu opened up about their long and challenging journey to parenthood. “Jwala and I were trying to have a baby for almost two years,” he shared. “Because she is 41, it wasn’t happening, so we had to take a lot of IVF treatments. After 5-6 failed cycles, Jwala almost gave up.” It was during this emotionally trying period that Aamir Khan stepped in, offering not just emotional support but a real lifeline.

“At that time, Aamir sir was around, and when I shared it with him, he said, ‘Stop everything and come to Mumbai,’” Vishnu recalled. “He took us to a doctor there, and for 10 months, he made sure that Jwala stayed with him at his place, with his family.”

Vishnu expressed how deeply moved he was by Aamir’s generosity. “Every time I travelled up and down, he would treat us like family. What he has done for us is a blessing,” he said. Eventually, their efforts bore fruit. “After two to three IVF cycles, Jwala got pregnant,” he added. “That very time when we found out, I told Aamir sir that he is going to name the baby. If it wasn’t for him, we wouldn’t have gotten Mira.”

The emotional weight of the journey was felt strongly at the naming ceremony, with Vishnu adding, “That is also why Jwala was crying while she was speaking during the ceremony.”

On the professional front, Aamir Khan was last seen in Sitaare Zameen Par. While the film has had a decent run at the box office, it has been met with critical acclaim, once again reaffirming Aamir’s ability to leave a lasting impact — both on and off screen.
