Diljit Dosanjh shares BTS moments with Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty from ‘Border 2’ set

Diljit Dosanjh has dropped a fresh reel from the sets of Border 2, giving fans a peek into the camaraderie brewing behind the scenes. In the video, Diljit is seen sharing a hearty laugh with Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty as they chill on the steps of what looks like a film set, dressed in olive green tees and white trousers—likely part of their military costume for the film.

The reel, captioned “Just Another Day Brother”, is clearly more than that. It captures the relaxed energy and bond these actors are building while working on one of Bollywood’s most ambitious war dramas in years. The vibe is light, the laughs are genuine, and it’s clear that Border 2 isn’t just a big-budget war film—it’s also a passion project for the actors involved.

These glimpses come just after reports confirmed that the cast recently filmed a major song sequence at the National Defence Academy in Pune. Choreographed by Ganesh Acharya and composed by Anu Malik, the song features Diljit, Varun, Ahan, and Sunny Deol together in uniform for the very first time. That sequence is expected to be a visual highlight of the film.

Another BTS clip shared by Diljit's team on social media featured Diljit meeting Sunny Deol on the sets as they shook hands and later posed with Varun and Ahan for a photo.

Amidst the buzz, Diljit’s casting in Border 2 had earlier sparked controversy due to his appearance in Sardaar Ji 3, which also featured Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) had initially raised objections and issued a non-cooperation directive against him. However, that ban has now been lifted, and Diljit remains firmly on board for Border 2.

Directed by Anurag Singh and produced by JP Films in collaboration with T-Series, Border 2 is slated for a Republic Day weekend release—January 23, 2026. The film is a spiritual successor to JP Dutta’s 1997 war classic Border, and expectations are sky-high.
