Newlyweds Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant received a heartfelt reception in Jamnagar, Gujarat, marking their first visit to the town since their wedding. As they arrived on Wednesday, a large crowd gathered to welcome them with a shower of flower petals, aarti ceremonies, and a rose-covered pathway. The heartwarming reception was captured in numerous videos and photos shared online, showcasing the enthusiastic hospitality extended by the people of Jamnagar.
One video featured women dressed in vibrant sarees, performing aarti and showering the couple with rose petals. Anant and Radhika, visibly delighted, acknowledged the warm welcome with folded hands. Another clip showed the newlyweds standing in a car, smiling and greeting the crowd as flower petals rained down upon them. Radhika looked radiant in a pink suit, while Anant donned a red kurta paired with a matching ethnic jacket.
In yet another video, the road leading from the airport was lavishly decorated with rose petals, creating a grand entrance for the couple. The atmosphere was further enlivened by the rhythmic beats of drums played by local musicians. Jamnagar holds significant sentimental value for both Anant and Radhika, as it was the site of their pre-wedding celebrations in March 2024.

The town’s importance is deeply rooted in the Ambani family history. Anant's grandmother, Kokilaben Ambani, was born in Jamnagar, and it is where his grandfather Dhirubhai Ambani and father Mukesh Ambani established their initial business ventures. This connection to their family heritage made the couple's visit even more special, adding an extra layer of emotion to the joyous occasion.

Radhika revealed that Jamnagar is where she and Anant grew up. "This is where we grew up, where we became friends, where we fell in love, and where we built our relationship. This place has become part of our fondest memories, our deepest secrets, our loudest laughs, and the happiest times that we've had together as a family,” she told ANI.
