Chris Martin and his band Coldplay made history last week with their record-breaking performance at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on January 26. The concert, one of their biggest shows to date, drew massive attention.
However, Chris Martin isn’t slowing down. His next major event is the prestigious Grammy Awards ceremony, set to take place this Sunday, February 2. Fans are eagerly anticipating Coldplay’s potential presence at the event, with many speculating on possible performances or wins, as the band continues to dominate the global music scene.
On Wednesday, the official X account of the Recording Academy, the organization behind the Grammy Awards, posted a picture of Chris Martin and included a caption saying, "Chris Martin of @coldplay will join our roster of performers at this year's #GRAMMYs (gramophone emoji)."

Chris Martin and his girlfriend, actress Dakota Johnson, arrived in India on January 16 for Coldplay's Music of the Spheres tour. Chris and the band had concerts scheduled in Mumbai and Ahmedabad. The final show of their Indian leg took place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Republic Day, where they performed to a historic crowd of 1.3 lakh spectators.
The concert was live-streamed on Disney+ Hotstar. Before that, Coldplay performed in Mumbai on January 18, 19, and 21, and in Ahmedabad on January 25.
In response to the devastating wildfires that have ravaged Los Angeles, the Recording Academy revealed that this year’s Grammy Awards will take on a meaningful new purpose. The broadcast will raise funds to support wildfire relief efforts in Los Angeles and pay tribute to the courage of the first responders who have risked their lives to battle the fires.
Although the Academy had initially considered postponing the event or turning it into a fundraiser, they ultimately chose to move forward with the show, using it as a platform to both celebrate the music industry and give back to the community.
Other performers at this year's Grammy ceremony include Academy Award-nominated Wicked star Cynthia Erivo, John Legend, Stevie Wonder, and several other talented artists.
The Grammy show will proceed as planned, with Beyoncé leading the nominations with 10 nods. Other artists receiving multiple nominations include Taylor Swift, Charli XCX, Post Malone, Sabrina Carpenter, Kendrick Lamar, and Chappell Roan.
