Following a minor car accident, well-known South Korean actress and television personality Joo Hyun Young has chosen to temporarily step away from her demanding professional obligations.
She was travelling to a filming location when the incident happened, so her agency decided to put her rest and recuperation first.
Joo Hyun Young was travelling to a shoot in Hadong County, South Gyeongsang Province, when the accident occurred in the early hours of June 4. When the incident occurred on the motorway, her manager was driving.
Medical professionals have recommended a period of rest to make sure no more issues develop, even though the crash was characterised as minor.
In response to growing speculation, her management agency AIMC issued a formal statement. As reported by Soompi, the agency shared, “There was a minor accident while traveling for filming. Based on medical advice that she needs rest and treatment, she will focus on recovery for the time being.”
Her agency also affirmed that in order to meet Joo Hyun Young's health requirements, production teams are coordinating all of her scheduled activities, including filming and public appearances. There is no reason for concern as the actress's condition is reportedly stable.
In addition, Joo Hyun Young is well-known for hosting a well-liked daily radio show. She will not be going back to the studio anytime soon due to her condition. While keeping the current broadcast format, temporary guest hosts will take over as the show's presenters.
Joo Hyun Young was working on several projects at the time of the accident. In addition to the highly anticipated television drama Ms. Incognito, she will feature in two upcoming films, Ghost Train and Pretty Crazy.
