ENHYPEN's personal information stolen by sasaeng fans; BELIFT LAB promises strong action

ENHYPEN recently faced a serious privacy breach as their personal information was stolen by obsessive fans, commonly known as sasaeng fans. These fans illegally obtained the members’ flight details, resulting in significant chaos during the boarding process. In response, BELIFT LAB, the agency representing ENHYPEN, has vowed to take strong measures against those responsible.

South Korean media outlet Xsports News reported that ENHYPEN experienced this ordeal while returning from China. Sasaeng fans had somehow accessed the group’s flight information and registered with the airline without permission, even selecting specific seats for the members. These extreme fans sought to sit near the artists, board the same flight, or capture unauthorised photos. When the group attempted to change their flight, they found that some members could not reassign their seats due to the fans' interference.

Upon contacting Air China, ENHYPEN discovered that some members' personal information had been misused to register with the airline. The contact details had been set under a Chinese phone number, specifically arranged to block any seat changes. Consequently, the members had to verify their identities at the airport to successfully change their seats.

In light of these events, BELIFT LAB informed South Korean media house Newsen that they are taking stringent actions to address the illegal acquisition and sale of flight information.=

ENHYPEN was formed by the survival reality show I-LAND. It consists of seven members: Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Niki. Managed by BELIFT LAB, the group debuted in 2020 with the extended play Border: Day One. They released their first Korean album, Dimension: Dilemma, along with the music video for the title track Tamed-Dashed.

In 2024, ENHYPEN made a highly anticipated comeback with the album ROMANCE: UNTOLD and the music video for the title track XO (Only If You Say Yes).
