BTS’ Jungkook has once again proven why he’s called the "golden maknae" (youngest member) of the iconic K-pop group. While currently fulfilling his mandatory military service in South Korea, Jungkook recently went viral for a surprising reason—a magic trick involving a cigarette.
In a short video reportedly shared by a fellow member of his military team, Jungkook is seen effortlessly performing a lighthearted trick where he makes a cigarette disappear. Though his face is not visible in the clip, fans quickly identified him through his unmistakable voice, laughter, and signature hand tattoos. Adding to the confirmation, the singer is wearing a blue apron with his name on it, a detail fans spotted as he’s been part of his unit’s cooking team since enlisting in December 2023.

The trick left fans amazed. Many admired Jungkook’s ability to entertain even during his military duties. One fan jokingly wrote, “Okay but he got tricks coz where did it even go?” Another quipped, “Graduated from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.” Fans also speculated that Jungkook might perform this trick for ARMY (BTS’ fanbase) once he returns, with one commenting, “I bet he’s gonna show us this trick when he comes back.”
Jungkook, now 27, enlisted in December 2023 and is set to complete his service by June 2025, alongside his bandmates RM, Jimin, V, and Suga, who are also currently enlisted.
Before his enlistment, Jungkook achieved significant milestones in his solo career. He released his debut album, Golden, in November 2023, which included chart-topping hits like Seven, 3D, and Standing Next to You.
BTS fans worldwide are gearing up for an epic celebration as the countdown to the group’s much-anticipated OT7 reunion begins. In just 149 days, the global K-pop sensations—RM, V, Jimin, Jungkook, Jin, Suga, and J-Hope—will reunite, marking their comeback in 2025 after completing their mandatory military service.
