Bollywood film producer Boney Kapoor had been married to the iconic actress Sridevi for more than two decades. The duo shared immense love and chemistry throughout their marriage. He often shares photos of his late wife on his social media and expresses how much he misses her.
However, Boney has recently taken to his Instagram account and penned that he is missing Sridevi on Holi. The film producer shared a throwback picture of Sridevi. The photo showed Sridevi participating in the traditional 'sindoor khela' ritual during a Durga Puja ceremony.
In the photo, Sridevi had vermillion applied on her face and her husband Boney Kapoor's name written in the same vibrant red hue on her back. Alongside the photo, Boney Kapoor fondly remembered Sridevi in the caption and wrote, "Holi was happiest," suggesting that the festival held special joy for his late wife.
Boney Kapoor saw Sridevi for the first time at the set of a Tamil film in the late 1970s and instantly fell in love with her. However, the duo was later officially introduced at the set of 1987 Mr. India, which he produced, leading to their marriage in June 1996. The couple welcomed their first daughter Janhvi in 1997 and later expanded their family with second daughter Khushi in 2000.
Sridevi died tragically in February 2018 after she accidentally drowned in Dubai. Her legacy continues to captivate millions. Boney Kapoor's emotional tributes are a poignant reminder of his everlasting love for his late wife and the profound influence she had on his life and career.
