Bollywood films to watch on OTT this week

Streaming platforms are bringing plenty of variety this week, from heartfelt romance to high-stakes action and even a fresh look at Bollywood itself.

If you’re wondering what to binge between 11–18 September 2025, here’s a round-up of the four big releases you shouldn’t miss.

Coolie – Amazon Prime Video – 11 September

Rajinikanth is back on screen, this time teaming up with Nagarjuna Akkineni and Aamir Khan in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s much-talked-about action thriller. Coolie follows Deva, a boarding house owner who stumbles upon the truth behind his friend Rajasekhar’s mysterious death.

When Deva realises that Rajasekhar was forced to use his own invention — a high-speed cremation chair — for a dangerous smuggling ring, he decides to turn the tables. With breathtaking set pieces and the scale we’ve come to expect from Kanagaraj, Coolie promises an adrenaline rush.

Saiyaara – Netflix – 12 September

For those in the mood for romance, Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara arrives on Netflix after a successful run in theatres. The film introduces Ahaan Panday as Krish, a passionate musician, and Aneet Padda as Vaani, a shy poet. Their love story unfolds through music but is shaken when Vaani is diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s.

With Rajesh Kumar, Geeta Agarwal and Varun Badola in supporting roles, Saiyaara blends music, emotion and tragedy in a way that’s very much in line with Suri’s signature style. Keep tissues handy.

Do You Wanna Partner? – Prime Video India – 12 September

Looking for something lighter? Do You Wanna Partner? is a heartwarming yet hilarious take on friendship and ambition. Tamannaah Bhatia and Diana Penty are best friends in this series who dream of building a craft beer brand, Jugaaro, in NCR’s fiercely competitive market.

But when sexism comes their way, they actually invent male partner who is fictious to be taken seriously. What follows is a rollercoaster of comedy, chaos and heartfelt moments as they, along with a team of lovable misfits, learn to balance dreams with reality. The series also features Jaaved Jaaferi and Nakuul Mehta.

The Ba***ds of Bollywood – Netflix – 18 September

The week closes with a debut that has already caught headlines. Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan, makes his directorial debut with The Ba***ds of Bollywood.

Co-created with Bilal Siddiqi and Manav Chauhan, and produced under Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, the series dives into the world of Bollywood with grit and emotion. Expect star-studded cameos, sharp storytelling, and even SRK’s voice in the teaser.

From Rajinikanth’s power-packed action to Aryan Khan’s bold storytelling debut, this week’s OTT releases have something for everyone.
