Boney Kapoor shares throwback picture of his late wife Sridevi, writes, "Elegance and Grace of a true Queen"

Boney Kapoor, the prominent Bollywood producer, often takes to social media to express his undying love and admiration for his late wife, the iconic actress Sridevi. On Tuesday, he shared a beautiful throwback photograph of Sridevi, capturing her timeless elegance. In the picture, Sridevi looks stunning in a black gown, exuding grace and poise.

Boney Kapoor, who frequently honours his wife’s memory, captioned the photo with the words, "Elegance and Grace of a true Queen," a fitting tribute to the legendary actress who left an indelible mark on Indian cinema.
This is not the first time Boney Kapoor has shared cherished memories of his late wife.

In August of the previous year, he posted another throwback image from the iconic film Mr. India, which holds a special place in the hearts of many.

The monochrome photograph featured Boney Kapoor with the film's director Shekhar Kapur, actors Anil Kapoor, Sridevi, and Baba Azmi, taken just before the first day of shooting for the film, which premiered in 1987.

Boney Kapoor reminisced in the caption, "January 5, 1985. Just before the first day shoot Mr. India," evoking nostalgia and showcasing his deep connection with the film, as well as his late wife.

In an emotional conversation with News18 Showsha, Boney Kapoor spoke fondly of Sridevi's influence on his personal life, particularly her commitment to fitness. He revealed how her dedication to a healthy lifestyle inspired his own weight-loss journey. Kapoor shared that Sridevi was always conscious of her health and would encourage him to lose weight. She had a disciplined routine when it came to eating and exercising, which Kapoor tried to follow but struggled to maintain. He humorously recalled, “I used to go for a walk with her. I used to go to the gym with her.”

Even after her untimely death in February 2018, Boney Kapoor feels that Sridevi’s presence is still with him. "I feel Sri is still around me, my wife is still around me and motivating me to lose weight," he said, highlighting how her influence continues to guide him. Kapoor added that her advice, as well as the doctor's recommendation to lose weight for health reasons, played a key role in his weight loss, which has also seen improvements in his overall well-being.

Boney and Sridevi's love story began when they tied the knot in June 1996. The couple welcomed their first daughter Janhvi in 1997 and later their second daughter Khushi in 2000. Sridevi tragically passed away in February 2018 in Dubai due to an accidental drowning, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire millions. Boney Kapoor's heartfelt posts serve as a testament to his enduring love for his late wife and the unforgettable impact she had on both his personal and professional life.
