Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was released in 1998 and has completed 27 years since its release. The film starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji was a huge success and still is one of the iconic classic films.
However, filmmaker Karan Johar has recently shared who he will cast as Tina, Anjali, or Rahul if he makes a Kuch Kuch Hota Hai remake.
During a recent appearance on Sania Mirza's podcast, Karan revealed that he would cast Ranveer Singh, Ananya Panday and Alia Bhatt in the iconic roles.
Karan elaborated that Ananya would play Tina, Ranveer would play Rahul, and Alia would play the modern-day Anjali. He also suggested Janhvi Kapoor or Sara Ali Khan as potential choices for Tina, playfully calling the new generation of star kids "younger nepo babies.”
Karan Johar addressed the most discussed topic, ‘nepotism’ and whether he has ever given someone a role at the request of their parents.
The filmmaker shared, “I know they are nepo babies. I’ve seen them grow up in front of me. But none of their parents have ever called me. I have always been the one to call."
Karan Johar has recently celebrated 27 years of the film with a series of never-before-seen behind-the-scenes pictures.
He concluded his post by writing, “Thank you to everyone for the love you continue to give this film…it means everything to me! @dharmamovies.”
