BLACKPINK’s Rose is making headlines yet again — this time with a surprise appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Fans are already buzzing about what it all means ever since the update was posted on a fan page.
Earlier this week, Rose appeared on The Howard Stern Show, where she teased the original demo version of her hit single Apt. Fast forward to tonight, and pop culture forums lit up with announcements that she’ll drop in on Jimmy Fallon’s late night broadcast.
The news was first shared by @PopBase on X, “ROSÉ will make a surprise appearance tonight at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” The post quickly drew a flurry of reactions, as fans flooded the comment section with excitement and memes.
One fan account, @industrystn, cheekily riffed on the reveal, “ROSÉ will make a surprise appearance … main pop girl activities.” Others were more speculative. @ItyagiSajid mused that she might perform “APT" or even hint at future BLACKPINK plans.

Interestingly, tonight won’t be Rose’s first time on Fallon's show. As a member of BLACKPINK, she’s appeared before with the group. Her solo appearances include March 2021, when she delivered a pre-taped version of “On the Ground”, and December 2024, when she performed tracks from her album Rosé, including “APT.” and “Toxic Till the End.”
In past guest spots, Rose has also shared stories about her path into music. During a Fallon show appearance, she recalled her audition for BLACKPINK, saying, “I walked in, I honestly thought it was a joke … I did it and was like ‘bye’, then they called me … ‘What is happening?’”
Tonight’s episode of The Tonight Show airs at 11:35 pm Eastern / 10:30 pm Central on NBC. With all the prelude, fans are expecting more than just a cameo — perhaps a performance, announcement, or surprise reveal.
