Akshaye Khanna’s 2021 action-drama State of Siege: Temple Attack, which was initially released on an OTT platform, is all set to hit the big screens. The film will be released under a new title, Akshardham: Operation Vajra Shakti. The makers are bringing the action-packed film to the theatres nearly five years after its digital premiere.
Zee Studios has released the official poster of the film that sets the tone for what’s to come. The poster shows temple pillars with shadows forming the silhouette of an armed commando, capturing the tense moment before a brave storm unfolds.
Akshardham: Operation Vajra Shakt is inspired by the true events and takes the viewers to the haunting 2002 terrorist attack on the Akshardham Temple in Gujarat. India's armed forces launched a secret mission, Operation Vajra Shakti, at the time. The mission showcased the forces’ unmatched bravery and tactical genius amidst gunfire in sacred halls.
Zee Studios is collaborating with Contiloe Pictures to bring India’s dark chapter to the big screens. The studio has recently announced a brand new series, Akshardham: Operation Vajra Shakti, which will explore the country’s grittiest counter-terror story.
