The first look of Dhurandhar, Ranveer Singh’s much-anticipated action drama, was unveiled on the actor’s 40th birthday, and it has already taken the internet by storm. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film promises a gritty, intense narrative laced with revenge, patriotism, and raw emotions. Dropped on Ranveer Singh’s birthday, the teaser showcased a brooding, menacing version of the actor, setting a new benchmark for his on-screen transformations.

The 2-minute-40-second teaser paints a dark, violent world where Ranveer, clad in long hair, a rugged beard, and often seen with a cigarette, works in a restaurant—seemingly undercover—before unleashing a storm of violence.

His powerful dialogue, “Ghayal hoon isliye Ghatak hoon,” captures the emotional core of the film.

The ensemble cast of Dhurandhar adds immense weight to the project. Young talent Sara Arjun stars opposite Ranveer, marking a significant role in her growing career. The first look showcases her dancing in a club, riding pillion on a bike with Ranveer, and sharing an emotional connection through dance and camaraderie.

Veteran actor Sanjay Dutt makes a fierce appearance, mirroring Ranveer’s intensity with his own rugged look. Akshaye Khanna dons a Pathani suit, taking on the role of the lead antagonist. His piercing presence in the teaser signals a powerful face-off between him and Ranveer.

Presented by Jio Studios and produced under B62 Studios, Dhurandhar is written, directed, and produced by Aditya Dhar, with Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar as co-producers. Though the filmmakers haven’t confirmed plot details, speculation is rife that the story is inspired by the life of NSA Ajit Doval. The teaser confirms that it is “inspired by true events,” giving weight to this theory.
