The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has once again set new benchmarks in the placement season. A final-year computer science student has secured a pre-placement offer (PPO) worth a staggering Rs 4.3 crore from the renowned global trading firm, Jane Street.

This lucrative package, which includes salary, bonus, and relocation costs, is the highest offer made to an IIT Madras student this year. The student, who had previously interned at Jane Street, is set to join the firm as a quantitative trader in Hong Kong.
