UP Board Exam 2026

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has announced an extension for the form correction window for the UP Board Class 10 and Class 12 examinations of 2026. The last date to apply for rectifications in educational and personal details has now been extended to October 31, 2024.

This decision provides another opportunity for candidates to verify the accuracy of their academic records well in advance of the exams, thereby preventing potential issues during result declarations and future admissions.

What Details Can You Correct?

The board has permitted amendments to a wide range of details to maintain data integrity. Students and their schools can now request corrections for:

  • Personal Information: Name (full amendment for student, mother, or father), date of birth, gender, and caste.
  • Academic Particulars: Subject/class selection, and correction of the High School roll number entered during Class 11 registration.
  • Spelling Errors: Rectification of spelling mistakes in the student's name or the names of their parents.
  • Documentation: Updates to photographs and other supporting documents.

The board has emphasized that ensuring these details are correct before the results are processed is essential for creating error-free mark sheets and certificates, which are vital for higher education and career pursuits.

Students Cannot Apply Directly Online

A critical point for students and parents to note is that the UPMSP has not enabled a direct self-correction facility on its official portal, upmsp.edu.in.

The correct procedure is as follows:

  • Students must first contact their school principal regarding the required changes.
  • The principal will then compile all applications and submit them, along with the necessary supporting documents, to the District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) office.
  • This entire process must be completed on or before the final deadline of October 31, 2024.
Final Deadline with No Further Extensions

The Uttar Pradesh Board has explicitly stated that this extended deadline is absolute and final. No requests for revisions will be entertained after October 31, 2024, under any circumstances.

The board has also issued a directive to all school principals and concerned officials to facilitate this process actively. They are instructed to ensure that every eligible student is made aware of this opportunity and can submit their correction requests within the stipulated timeframe.

For detailed guidelines and official notifications, students and schools are advised to regularly check the UP Board's official website: upmsp.edu.in.
