Hero MotoCorp has introduced the all-new Destini 110 scooter in India. Prices start at Rs 72,000 (ex-showroom) for the VX drum variant and go up to Rs 79,000 (ex-showroom) for the ZX disc version. Deliveries will begin in a phased manner at dealerships across the country.
The Destini 110 is pitched as a practical, family-friendly scooter. It comes with a neo-retro design, chrome highlights, projector LED headlamp, and H-shaped LED tail lamps. Buyers get five colour choices -- Eternal White, Matt Steel Grey, Nexus Blue, Aqua Grey, and Groovy Red.
Powering it is a 110cc engine with Hero's i3S idle start-stop system and a one-way clutch. Hero claims a segment-best mileage of 56.2kmpl. The scooter rides on 12-inch wheels at the front and rear, which should add to stability in city traffic.
Comfort has been given priority. The seat is 785mm long, the longest in the segment, and even comes with a backrest for the pillion. There is also generous legroom, a glove box at the front, a boot lamp, and USB charging for convenience. Braking is handled by a 190mm front disc on the ZX trim.
The scooter also uses three large metal body panels for better durability. Hero says this makes it capable of handling rough daily use without losing sturdiness.
The company said the 110cc scooter segment is one of the biggest in India, with demand from families and youngsters alike. The new Destini 110, it added, has been designed to meet both affordability and reliability expectations.
The scooter goes up against rivals like the Honda Activa, TVS Jupiter, and Yamaha Ray ZR. Hero already sells the Pleasure+, Maestro Edge, and Xoom, but the new Destini 110 is expected to pull in more value-seeking buyers, especially first-time scooter owners.
