CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that animal husbandry, forest, panchayat and rural development, revenue, home and farmers welfare departments will be included in Madhya Pradesh's 'Cow Cabinet'.

MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had said on November 2 that his government is planning to make legal arrangements to curb the alleged practice of 'love jihad' in the state.

Addressing a poll meeting in MP’s Dabra, where the Congress is up against Imarti Devi of the BJP, Kamal Nath said his party candidate was a “simple person” unlike his opponent who is an “item”.

The BJP and Congress are engaged in a bitter tussle in bypolls for 28 Assembly seats scheduled for November 3.

Earlier in the day, Lok Janshakti Party announced that they would not contest the upcoming Bihar polls in alliance with JDU. However, the party will not field candidates on the BJP's seats.

The chief minister said his government will help farmers double their income by 2022.

The decision to this effect was taken on Wednesday in a meeting of the company's board of directors under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the official from the public relations department said.

A bench of Chief Justice S A Bobde and Justices A S Bopanna and V Ramasubramanian issued notices to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his government and sought their response on the plea of former assembly speaker N P Prajapati.

At a virtual rally in Mungaoli, Jyotiraditya Scindia said the Congress was “desperate without chair (power)” and were "concerned because they can’t make money”.

The CM added that first and second-year students of under-graduation courses and second-semester students of post-graduation courses will be promoted to the next year or semester

BJP general secretary Kailash Vijaywargiya, state unit chief V D Sharma and state organization secretary Suhash Bhagat took part in the meeting among others, a party source said.

Chouhan also accused the erstwhile government of cheating farmers in the name of granting them a loan waiver.

Burhanpur station manager Vinay Mehta said that about 20 trains have been stopped in Khandwa-Bhusawal rail section due to non-clearance to signals.
