Zombie shooter World War Z has received the Chibi Rush update that adds a new primary weapon, new weapon skin packs, custom portrait frames and more to the co-op survival game. The World War Z: Chibi Rush update is now live on PC, PlayStation and Xbox platforms.
As per the developer Saber Interactive, World War Z’s Chibi Rush update “allows you to slay the Zekes in style with new anime content.” Let's take a deeper look at the new content the Chibi Rush update brings.
New weapon: Universal Bullpup Rifle AUR
The Universal Bullpup Rifle AUR has “a high rate of fire, low recoil, and excellent accuracy, making it ideal for precise, rapid engagements,” note the developers.
The Chibi Izzy Weapons Skin Pack
The Chibi Izzy Weapons Skin Pack contains skins for the Compact SMG - Gal 9, Crossbow - Repeater X, Bullup Rifle - XTAR-95, Compact Shotgun - S890 Shorty and Multi-shot Rocket Launcher - MRL202 Commando.
Chibi Kimiko Weapons Skin Pack
The Chibi Kimiko Weapons Skin Pack includes skins for the Machine Pistol - Geist 17MP, Combat Shotgun - S890, Sporting Carbine - PAC-15, Assault Carbine - HW416 and Payload Rifle - BF25.
Custom portrait frames and character portraits
Besides a new primary weapon and the weapon skin packs, the Chibi Rush update adds three new custom portrait frames: A knife in the brain, Challenger and Helper. It also adds Chibi character portraits for all the survivors.
Game fixes
The Chibi Rush update also brings numerous fixes to the zombie shooting game. For instance, it fixes issues like the Exterminator's heavy metal perk not applying the new RPG Launcher Extinction skin and Hellraiser's heavy rain perk not applying the Hailstorm MGL Extinction skin. It fixes a bug that was causing simultaneous selection of two custom portrait frames, resolves the game crash issues that happen when playing maps in a certain order and other issues.
