Samsung has launched “Galaxy Empowered,” a community-led initiative aimed at upskilling 20,000 teachers in India by 2025. The program provides teachers, principals, and education administrators with technology integration training, hands-on workshops, and mentorship. It aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 to promote innovation and student engagement in classrooms.

Program structure
Galaxy Empowered focuses on three key areas: technology upskilling, hands-on training, and collaboration among educators. Teachers will have access to online training sessions, physical workshops, and a resource library to integrate digital tools into teaching. The program includes mentorship, certification opportunities, and curriculum development support. Participants will also engage in networking events, panel discussions, and expert-led sessions.

Current implementation and expansion plans
Since December 2024, over 2,700 teachers have received certification under the program. Samsung has conducted training in 250 schools across Delhi and aims to expand nationwide. The initiative is supported by educational partners, including Mahattattva Educational Advisory and STTAR, along with trainers and academicians.

Educator benefits and resources
Teachers enrolled in Galaxy Empowered will receive access to exclusive Samsung discounts on smartphones, tablets, laptops, and consumer electronics. Additional benefits include extended warranties, free insurance, and limited-time offers on select products. The program is free for both educators and schools.

Statements from stakeholders
Raju Pullan, Senior Vice President, MX Business, Samsung India, stated that the initiative aims to equip teachers with tools to enhance student engagement. Abhinav Bindra, Olympic gold medallist and chief guest at the launch, emphasized the importance of technology in bridging educational gaps. Aditya Babbar, Vice President, MX Business, Samsung India, highlighted the role of blended learning and peer support in improving teaching effectiveness.

Enrollment and participation
Teachers and schools can enrol in the program through Samsung’s official website. The company aims to create a technology-driven education ecosystem that enhances teaching practices and benefits students across India.
