KL Rahul's woes compounded further as India's star batter was dismissed in the most unconventional fashion in the ongoing unofficial Test between India A and Australia A. Rahul, who was earlier dismissed for 4 in the first innings, was outfoxed by spinner Corey Rocchiccioli in the second and could muster just 10 runs.
Rahul was dismissed in the first ball of the 18th over and the style in which he was dismissed became one of the highlights of the day. Rahul was outdone by a short delivery, which was going down the leg stumps. Rahul chose to leave the ball but it ricocheted and knocked the top of off stump after hitting the knee roll of his left pad.

The moment went viral on social media as the on-air commentator could be heard saying: "through the leg, off the pad, onto the bail." He added: "I don't know what is he (Rahul) thinking here."
Disgruntled fans were quick to react to the dismissal, with one user commenting: "that's the dumbest leave I have ever seen." Cricketcomau sharing the video wrote: "Oops... that's an astonishing leave by KL Rahul too were left bemused."
Rahul, who was dropped from the playing XI after a series of flop shows, and was sent to Australia along with Dhruv Jurel by BCCI to get some game time. However, Rahul's struggles were evident in Australia as he was drafted in the playing XI for the second unofficial Test.
With regular skipper Rohit Sharma expected to miss the first match of the five-match Test series against Australia, Rahul and Abhimanyu Easwaran are in fray for the opening slot alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal. Easwaran, who boasts of a stellar record in the domestic circuit, has also failed to find his foot on Australian soil. He was dismissed for 17 by Nathan McAndrew, thus taking his total to 36 runs from four innings in the two unofficial matches.

Jurel, however, has been a big positive as he scored 80 the first essay of the second Test. He was unbeaten on 19(47) before Stumps were called on Day 2. India were batting at 73/5 and have a small lead of 11 runs.
Earlier, India had lost the first unofficial Test by seven wickets.
