Updated WTC 2025-27 Points Table: India completed a 2-0 whitewash against West Indies, which also marked Shubman Gill's first series win as a Test skipper. India had defeated West Indies by an innings and 140 runs in the first match in Ahmedabad and clinched the second Test by seven wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
This was India's seventh Test in the current World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 cycle, having previously engaged in a gruelling five-match series against England in July-August. The series had finished with a 2-2 scoreline.

The latest victories keep India at Number 3. Shubman Gill and Co. have won four out of the seven matches, one ended in a draw, and the team endured defeats in a couple of matches.
Australia currently top the charts with three wins in as many matches. The Kangaroos had played a three-match series against the West Indies. Meanwhile, West Indies are yet to open their account in the current cycle. The team have now lost all five matches they've have played so far.
Sri Lanka are currently placed second, with one win and a draw from two matches. England find themselves at No. 4 as they prepare for the much-anticipated Ashes, which begins from November 21. The five-match series presents the Three Lions led by Ben Stokes an opportunity to move up the table and even challenge Australia for the pole position.
Bangladesh are currently placed fifth.
Meanwhile, Pakistan and South Africa too have begun their campaign in the current cycle. South Africa, who are the defending champions, are engaged in a two-match series against Pakistan, with the first Test currently underway.
South Africa will next travel to India for another two-match series, which begins from November 14.
