Info Edge, one of India’s technology companies, became the focus of widespread social media attention after videos of its Diwali gifts to employees began circulating online. Over the past few days, several Instagram Reels recorded by staff have attracted significant traction, showing the festive presents distributed by the company.
Each employee appeared to have received a VIP-branded suitcase, a snack box, and a diya. The viral clips captured decorated office desks, with every workstation featuring identical gifts neatly arranged for collection.
Commenters praised the company’s festive spirit and attention to detail. One user wrote, “Please refer me to this company, someone,” while another asked, “Why is my company not doing this? I am also a hardworking employee, I too want to celebrate Diwali at the office and get gifts.”
A user commented, “I’m happy with permanent work from home. These gifts attract me, but not at the cost of returning to the office.”
Another described the gesture as “Bade Dil Waala Diwali Behaviour,” and noted that in the previous year, staff members had received air fryers.
Several employees expressed satisfaction with the gifts, while the comment sections under their videos featured a mix of admiration and envy. A viewer wrote, “Me watching the video with Kaju Barfi box that I got from my office,” while another added humorously, “I showed it to my manager, he said it’s AI.”
Many users pointed out that Info Edge videos seemed to dominate their feeds. One remarked, “Fifteenth reel on my feed of this office. All of you are so overwhelmed that every other person is posting a reel.” Another commented, “Info Edge ke saare employees ki reel meri hi feed me aarhi,” while a third user noted, “Bass karo bhai, kal se Info Edge ki 100 reel dikh gayi hai.”
Meanwhile, the company, established in 1995 by Sanjeev Bikhchandani, operates and invests in a range of online businesses. It owns major platforms such as Naukri.com, 99acres.com, Jeevansathi.com, and Shiksha.com and is headquartered in Noida.
The festival of Diwali is being observed on October 20 in some regions and on October 21 in others this year.
