Former English cricket star Kevin Pietersen has joined the chorus of admiration for Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's transformative projects, gushing over the splendor of Lucknow airport's latest terminal.
While in Lucknow for IPL engagements, Pietersen couldn't help but marvel at the "world-class" allure of the new terminal. Taking to his social media handle, he shared a snapshot of himself at the airport, tagging CM Yogi Adityanath as he extolled the terminal's magnificence.
"I have never seen such a beautiful airport terminal before. 'Street of Flowers' at the new terminal in Lucknow is truly world-class. Everyone has done an amazing job for Uttar Pradesh. I'm sure Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be very proud. India is progressing rapidly," Pietersen lauded, highlighting Uttar Pradesh's development and aesthetic appeal.

The construction of the new terminal kicked off in March to alleviate the strain on existing terminals. Beyond its visual appeal, the new terminal boasts enhanced capacity, addressing longstanding capacity issues.
Built at a staggering cost of ₹2,400 crore, the airport has the capacity to accommodate up to 80 lakh passengers annually at its current stage. Upon completion of Phase 2, this figure is expected to soar to around 1.3 crore passengers annually, reflecting the scale of Uttar Pradesh's aviation growth.
