Kumble arrived at Triveni Sangam on a boat without any special protocol, choosing to experience the holy occasion like other pilgrims. His wife, Chetana Ramathirtha, also accompanied him on this spiritual journey.
The Maha Kumbh Mela is the largest spiritual gathering in the world, attracting millions of devotees, saints, and tourists to the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the Saraswati rivers. Held once in 12 years, the grand event in Prayagraj began on Paush Purnima (January 13, 2025) and will conclude on Mahashivratri (February 26, 2025).
Magh Purnima is considered one of the holiest bathing dates during the Kumbh, with lakhs of devotees participating in the snan (holy dip) to seek blessings and purification.
