Ayodhya Ram Darbar Pran Pratishtha: 62,000 Prasad Boxes Sent from Lucknow Ahead of Grand Ceremony

As Ayodhya prepares for the much-awaited Ram Darbar Pran Pratishtha at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir, a special consignment of 62,000 prasad boxes has been dispatched from Lucknow. This large-scale offering adds spiritual flavour to the sacred celebration, drawing national attention ahead of the divine event.

According to Kshitij Gupta, Marketing Head of Chhappan Bhog, the prasad includes specially prepared barfi made from chickpeas and moong dal. “We are sending 20,000 packets daily for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony. It’s a blessing to be part of this spiritual moment,” he said.

Renowned sculptor Satyanarayan, who created the idol of Ram Darbar, shared his emotional journey. “It wasn’t work—it was service. It took me seven months, and I feel Lord Hanuman himself gave me this opportunity,” he said, expressing deep gratitude.

The Pran Pratishtha rituals began on the first floor of the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Temple on June 4 at 6:30 AM and will continue until June 5. Devotees have been lining up to offer prayers as the temple complex lights up with vibrant décor, reflecting the divine energy of the occasion. A Kalash Yatra was held on the banks of the Saryu River, joined by saints, acharyas, and members of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra. The procession marked a significant spiritual moment, symbolising purity and tradition.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will attend the Saryu Jayanti Janmotsav in Ayodhya on June 5. Organised by the Anjaneya Sewa Trust, the week-long event (June 5–11) will feature devotional music, spiritual discourses, and rituals dedicated to Lord Ram. In line with the sanctity of the occasion, Ayodhya officials have started implementing a ban on meat sales along major religious routes, including Ram Path and Dharma 14 Kosi Marg. Following public appeals during CM Yogi’s Janata Darbar, notices were issued to shopkeepers.

Ayodhya Mayor Girish Pati Tripathi also confirmed ongoing discussions to prohibit liquor sales in the same areas. “We’re committed to maintaining the religious dignity of Ayodhya,” he said.
