Rohini Vrat: Rohini Vrat is one of the most significant fasting days in the Jain community, observed especially by women for the long life and well-being of their husbands. The vrat holds immense spiritual value and is linked to Rohini Nakshatra, one of the twenty-seven Nakshatras mentioned in both the Hindu and Jain calendars. This sacred fast is believed to remove sorrow, suffering, and poverty, bringing peace, prosperity,and happiness to the devotee’s home.

Rohini Vrat is observed on the day when Rohini Nakshatra prevails after sunrise. In November 2025, this vrat falls under the influence of Rohini Nakshatra on Friday, November 7, continuing till 12:33 AM on November 8.

Devotees wake up early, take a holy bath, and offer prayers to Lord Vasupujya or Lord Mahavira. Women observing the fast abstain from food and dedicate the day to spiritual reflection and recitation of Jain scriptures. The Puja involves lighting a diya, offering flowers, fruits, and sweets, and praying for marital bliss and family well-being.

The Parana (breaking of the fast) is done during Margashirsha Nakshatra, once Rohini Nakshatra ends.
