Indian travellers to Thailand can choose between sticker visa, visa-on-arrival and e-visa options. Now, if you are applying for sticker visa, you will have to apply to DU Digital Global that, effective October 1, is managing and submitting visa applications for Thailand in India. The company exclusively accepts applications for sticker visas. The traveller can initiate the application process by filling out the necessary forms available on the website. However, completing the online forms is just the first step. While the applicant's visit is not mandatory, someone will have to come on their behalf.

Thailand visa-on-arrival and e-visa are costlier than the sticker visa. The fee for a single-entry visa is INR 2,500 and INR 12,000 for multiple entry visa. E-visa is priced at INR 6,820 and visa on arrival costs INR 4,500 for single entry. When considering both convenience and cost-effectiveness, the sticker visa remains the most advantageous choice for travellers.

Tourists on sticker visas are usually allowed a stay duration of up to three months from the date of entry - the duration is applicable for single entry visas. The minimum visa processing time is four working days. Within this timeframe, the necessary steps, such as document verification and application review, are meticulously conducted to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Documents needed for online application?

To apply for a visa, applicants are required to complete the online visa application form. Additionally, they need to provide the following documents and information:

2 passport size photographs: Two recent passport-sized photographs meeting the specified criteria.

Confirmed ticket: A confirmed ticket demonstrating the applicant's travel plans, including entry and exit from the destination country.

Confirmed hotel reservation: Applicants must provide proof of a confirmed hotel reservation for the entire duration of their stay in the host country.

Bank statement: A bank statement for the last six months is mandatory, demonstrating a maintained balance equivalent to INR 50,000 or the specified amount.

Options for group visits: Individuals or organizations intending to travel as a group must obtain approval from the embassy or consulate of the destination country before applying for the visas. The embassy’s confirmation ensures that the group’s travel plans are legitimate, well-organized, and meet the host country's regulations. By obtaining prior approval, the embassy can assess the group's purpose of travel, itinerary, and other essential details, ensuring a smooth and efficient visa application process for all members of the group.

What about student visas? How much time does that take?

The student visa application process typically takes a minimum of three to four working days. During this time, the embassy reviews essential documents, such as the acceptance letter from the educational institution and financial proof. This careful evaluation ensures applicants meet the visa requirements. Ensuring all necessary documents are submitted accurately and following embassy guidelines can expedite the process further, enabling a smooth transition for students pursuing education overseas.

Can an individual apply directly or does one have to go through an authorized agent?

Sticker visas can be acquired directly through DU Digital Global visa centres, allowing applicants the choice to walk in and process their visas in person. This option eliminates the need for intermediaries, ensuring individuals can handle their visa applications directly with DU Digital Global.
