Shoaib Malik marries actor Sana Javed: 'We created you in pairs'

Former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik married Pakistani actor Sana Javed on Friday even as rumours about his separation with former Indian tennis star Sania Mirza, continued to do the rounds.

The 41-year-old made the announcement on social media on Saturday and shared photos with Javed.

The news of Malik's marriage to Javed comes a few days after Mirza had posted a cryptic Instagram story, which indicated a potential divorce with Malik.

"Marriage is hard. Divorce is hard. Choose your hard. Obesity is hard. Being fit is hard. Choose your hard. Being in debt is hard. Being financially disciplined is hard. Choose your hard. Communication is hard. Not communicating is hard. Choose your hard. Life will never be easy. It will always be hard. But we can choose our hard. Pick wisely," the post read.

Malik and Mirza had got married in 2010 in Hyderabad, amid controversy after a woman named Ayesha Siddiqui claimed that she was already married to the cricketer. A few days before marrying Mirza, Malik got divorced to Siddiqui.

Malik and Mirza became parents to a baby boy, in October 2018, whom they named Izhaan Mirza Malik.

Who is Sana Javed?

Born on March 25, 1993, Javed has acted both in television series and movies. Her last theatrical release was in 2023, titled "I Love You Zara".

Incidentally, this is also her second marriage having previously been married to singer Umair Jaswal in a private ceremony in Karachi, in October 2020.
