Chinese smartphone-maker Oppo has launched its second budget smartphone of the month, the Oppo A1K in India. The entry-level smartphone comes equipped with a big screen and a large battery coupled with fast charging support.
The Oppo A1K has been launched in 2GB RAM/32GB storage variant only and has been priced at Rs 8,490. According to tech publication IndiaShopps, the device would be available to purchase through offline channels.
The budget smartphone features a 6.1-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720 * 1560. The HD+ screen has a water-drop notch on top and comes with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. It has a screen-to-body of 87.43 percent and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
At the heart of the smartphone is an Octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 SoC clocking at 2.2GHz coupled with IMG GE8320 GPU for graphics. The processor comes paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage which is expandable via microSD. For power backup, the A1K comes packed with a 4,000 mAh battery with support for 2x fast charging.
The camera unit comes with a single 8MP sensor with LED flash at the back. For selfies, the notch houses a 5MP lens with an aperture of f/2.0. The device does not have a fingerprint scanner and only comes with face unlock. Connectivity options include 4G, VoLTE, Bluetooth v4.2, WiFi, GPS, A-GPS, and Micro-USB port. It runs on Color OS 6.0 based on Android 9.0.
