The latest sighting comes about a month after two leopards were seen on the prowl in the outskirts of Bengaluru, and one was shot dead following a five-day search.
Meanwhile, the Maharashtra government is considering sterilising leopards due to a rise in population and conflicts with humans. It is preparing a proposal to be sent to the Centre for approval, Hindustan Times reported. Maharashtra has the third highest population of leopards in India, and forest officials believe the number has significantly increased in recent years.
