The founder of a womenswear brand has shared high praise for an employee who excels in her role despite never going for higher education. Akshay Jain, founder of Mlada, shared a post of appreciation for the brand’s head of quality control, whose near-impeccable record has made her a valuable asset to the company.

Jain said that Mlada, till date, has shipped around 2,500 pieces of trousers to women. Out of these, only one pair of trousers has ever been returned due to a manufacturing defect. He gave credit for this impressive feat to his head of quality control, a woman who never studied beyond 12th grade but takes pride in her work and checks every piece meticulously.

“We have shipped around 2500 pcs of trousers to women till date and no of pcs that have come back to us due to manufacturing defect is 1. 1 out of 2500. Our head of quality control who checks every piece before sending is only 12th pass. Have such amazing people in your team,” Jain wrote on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

In another tweet, he said the employee in question has managed to buy a house for her parents from the salary she earns. He praised her as a role model.

“She’s an amazing woman. Joined us a few years back. Bought a house for her parents from her salary. Absolute role model,” the founder of Mlada wrote.

In the comments section, people praised both the employee and Jain for putting his faith in her.

“That’s very impressive quality control!! Would love to see how you scale and maintain it. Having quality first mindset is probably the next big thing,” wrote one commenter.

“Choosing an outstanding individual is sometimes more preferable than focusing solely on their educational background,” said another. “It takes eyes to check not a degree, & it takes observation to do business. Degree is just a piece of paper. Education is an industry that doesn't benefit its consumers,” a third opined.
