We all make mistakes, but this woman made a rather expensive one. A post going viral on Reddit shows a broken Apple iPad – damaged beyond repair after the woman accidentally placed it inside her oven. The photo was shared on Reddit by the woman’s son and has since gone viral, racking up more than 10,000 upvotes.

“She made that apple crumble,” joked one Reddit commenter. “Mmmm apple pie,” another quipped.

Some said she was lucky that the worse thing to happen was screen damage.

“She’s lucky the battery didn’t explode or something,” one commenter pointed out. “Get rid of it! The battery in there has to be suffering, and it's probably not safe at all to keep that thing anywhere near anything flammable!” another advised.

Many wondered how the woman managed to put her iPad in the oven. By way of explanation, she said that someone placed a broiling pan on top of the Apple iPad while she was using it in the kitchen.

When the woman picked up the broiling pan to put it in the oven, she unknowingly put in the iPad too that was stuck to the bottom of the pan. “The guy from the Apple store told me he though he had seen everything, but he hadn’t seen this!” she texted her son.
