With 2023 coming to a close, we've been seeing some of the biggest and the most awaited OTT releases this month. The Archies, the OTT debut of Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, Sridevi’s second daughter Khushi Kapoor and Shweta Bachchan-Nanda’s son Agastya Nanda, dropped on Netflix on December 7. Reality TV (Season 3 of Korean dating show Single's Inferno; Squid Game: The Challenge), retro series, anime, masala movies, family dramas, romcoms (Barbie), documentaries (BTS Monuments), fiction, action films (Believer 2) — each category has been getting a refresh, with more to watch. Here's a selection for your must-watch list in the last week of December:

Mission Start Ab, Amazon Prime Video, December 19

Directed by Srimanta Senguptta, this competitive reality series is in association with the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India. Starring Kunal Bahl, Manish Chowdhary, Anisha Singh, Masaba Gupta, Cyrus Sahukar and others, this one sees three top investors handpick ten extraordinary early-stage founders.

Percy Jackson and The Olympians, Disney+ Hotstar, December 20

This fantasy drama, based on a book is a about 12-year-old demigod, half-blood, Percy Jackson, who discovers his supernatural powers. Soon Zeus accuses him of stealing the lightning bolt and Percy has to set things straight.

BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star, Disney+ Hotstar, December 20

This special documentary on Korea’s pop icons as they complete a decade of their journey.

Barbie, Jio Cinema, December 21

Starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, Greta Gerwig's film is touted to be the biggest grosser at the box office in 2023.

Flames Season 4, Amazon Mini TV, December 21

Starring Ritvik Sahore, Tanya Maniktala, Sunakshi Grover, Shivam Kakar, Deepesh Sumitra Jagdish this coming of age drama is directed by Divyanshu Malhotra and tells the story of 12th graders facing board exams.

Dry Day, Amazon Prime Video, December 22

Written and directed by Saurabh Shukla, this Jitendra Kumar, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Annu Kapoor starrer is about a man grappling with his drinking habits and the repercussions he faces when he tries to get alcohol banned in his town.

What If Season 2, Disney Plus, December 22

All episodes of this second season will be released daily for nine consecutive days. Set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), it explores alternate timelines in the multiverse that show what would happen if major moments from the MCU films occurred differently.

Saltburn, Amazon Prime Video, December 22

This one is Oscar-winning filmmaker Emerald Fennell's beautifully wicked tale of privilege and desire.

Curry & Cyanide: The Jolly Joseph Case, Netflix, December 22

Directed by Christo Tomy, this true-crime documentary looks at six shocking deaths in the same family spread over 14 years. In 2019, Jollyamma Joseph was arrested.

Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, Netflix, December 26

Imaad (Siddhant Chaturvedi), Ahana (Ananya Panday), and Neil (Adarsh Gourav) are best friends and this film set in Mumbai, showcases how they manage their relationships, emotions and life situations. This Zoya Akhtar’s Tiger Baby production and Arjun Varain Singh’s directorial debut is among one of the most-awaited films of 2023.

Once Upon Two Times, Zee 5, December 29

Directed by Sonakshi Mittal, this story is about a couple who find out that their parents used to be ex-lovers. Starring Sanjay Suri, Mrinal Kulkarni, Anud Singh Dhaka, Nitesh Pandey, Kashish Khan and others, this one is a drama to watch out for.

Safed, Zee 5, December 29

This Sandeep Singh directorial is a powerful musical journey of intense emotions. It is about the unimaginable love story of a widow and a transgender.

Dono, Zee 5, December 29

Written and directed by Sooraj R Barjatya’s son, debutant director Avnish S Barjatya, this romantic drama also launched star kids actors Rajveer Deol and Paloma Dhillon, Sunny Deol’s son and Poonam Dhillon’s daughter. It failed to make a mark on the big screen and is all set for an OTT release.

Wedding.Con, Amazon Prime Video, December 29

This true-crime docu-series is about women who have been deceived and betrayed in the pursuit of love.

12th Fail, Disney+ Hotstar, December 29
This Vikrant Massey starrer by Vidhu Vinod Chopra is based on the 2019 book by Anurag Pathak. It is the real-life story of Manoj Kumar Sharma, IPS and Shraddha Joshi Sharma, IRS and how he overcame extreme poverty to become an IPS officer.

Three of Us, Netflix, December 29

Directed by Avinash Arun, this drama starring Shefali Shah, Jaideep Ahlawat and Swanand Kirkire is a story about Shailaja Desai, a dementia patient. The film delves into what happens when she goes back to revisit her childhood with her husband and confronts her traumatic past.
