"Never Using Dove again. Dove! The fat people soap," one user wrote.
"Boycott Dove Soap Gentlemen," another user wrote.
"Dove? I need to make my own soap," a third user wrote.
In an Instagram video posted two weeks ago, Bryant announced she was partnering with Dove as part of the company's "Fat Liberation" campaign. "My belief is that we should be centering the voices and the experiences of the most marginalized people and communities at all times," she said in the video.
"So when I think about what fat liberation looks like to me, I think about centering the voices of those who live in and who maneuver through spaces and institutions in a fat body," Bryant added.
Dove is yet to respond to the public criticism for partnering with Bryant for the campaign.
Who is Zyahna Bryant?
Zyahna Bryant, 22, had accused a fellow student at the University of Virginia- Morgan Bettinger- for passing a racist comments about Black Lives Matter protestors in 2020 and claimed that he had said the protestors were as good as speed bumps.
But, as per a New York Post report, she later admitted that she had misheard the comment.
The university later ruled Bettinger guilty of making a threat against the Black Lives Matter protestors. Bryant was slammed online for ruining Bettinger's career, as a student.
