Billionaire Anand Mahindra on Wednesday took to X to share a picture with IPS officer Manoj Sharma and his wife and Indian Revenue Services officer Shraddha Joshi. Since watching the movie “12th Fail”, which is based on the real life of Sharma, Mahindra cannot stop raving about it. And now, he took the duo’s autographs over lunch with them.
Taking to X, the Mahindra Group Chairman shared a photograph while posing with Sharma and Joshi. He also had a piece of paper in his hand that had the couple’s autographs. “They were shy when I requested them for their autographs, which I am proudly holding. But they are the true real-life heroes Manoj Kumar Sharma, IPS and his wife Shraddha Joshi, IRS. The extraordinary couple on whose lives the movie #12thFail is based,” the industrialist wrote.
Calling their autographs “heirlooms”, Mahindra continued, “Over lunch today, I learned that the film’s narrative is true to their real stories. And they continue practising their philosophy of living a life of scrupulous integrity. If India is to become a global power, it will happen more rapidly if more people adopt their way of life. So they are the real celebrities of this country. And their autographs are heirlooms. I am a wealthier man today, for having met them.”

The industrialist also reacted and celebrated on X after "12th Fail" won a Filmfare award for Best Film. "Bravo @filmfare for recognising that simple and authentic storytelling is STILL at the heart of truly powerful cinema," he wrote on X.
Mahindra was also inspired to seek more details about how UPSC aspirants prepare for one of the toughest examinations in the country after watching the film. While doing so, he discovered that UPSC exams were tougher than IIT JEE and the same was confirmed by an IIT graduate.
The Mahindra Group chairperson also shared a post on 10 of the toughest exams in the world which featured three from India -- IIT JEE at number 2, UPSC at number 3, and GATE at number 8.
