Leading passenger vehicle manufacturer Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the Suzuki Swift Dzire 2018 in India at the Indian Auto Expo 2018 in February.

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire has been around for almost 10 years now and in that time, this car has become one of the cash cows for the Indo-Japanese automaker.

A share of premium features is likely going to make the new Swift Dzire attain a higher price tag over its predecessors.

As compared to its predecessor, the new Swift Dzire sedan and Swift hatchback have plenty of differences.

The Swift gets a refashioned front bumper and a roofline with contours similar to that of the Mini Cooper, which so not in the new Dzire.

Inside the cabin, the differences between the two continue.

The Swift packs an all-black interior while the Dzire has a black and beige combined interior.

Maruti has also spiced up the interiors of the upcoming Dzire with a new design statement and has added all the segment standard features. This list includes climate control, touchscreen infotainment and to boost the premium appeal, wood inserts in the dashboard as well as the door cards.

Under the hood, specifications will most probably remain the same. The Swift will come with the 1.2-litre petrol and the 1.3-litre diesel engines.

A five-speed manual transmission will be standard, it is highly likely to get a five-speed automated manual gearbox as well at par with the new Dzire.

The new Swift will also weight around 50 kg less than its predecessors, thus adding to fuel efficiency.

Meanwhile, the rally version of the Swift- the Suzuki Swift Sport has been spotted at the Tokyo Motor Show.

This time, Maruti Suzuki posted a 3 percent rise in quarterly profits, beating the estimates of analysts.

Maruti Suzuki, in a statement to Moneycontrol, had stated in September that it will not hold back in the segment and will come up with models based on customer preference as per chairman R C Bhargava.
