Budget Session of Parliament: The Foreign Minister is expected to brief the House on ‘Operation Ganga’, an exercise to bring back the citizens in special flights from countries bordering Ukraine.
Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan also said that Operation Ganga, carried out under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to evacuate Indian students from Ukraine, is proof of the "collective wisdom of 130 crore Indians”.

Mahasweta Chakraborty flew six evacuation flights — four from Poland and two from Hungary — between February 27 and March 7, Times of India reported.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, in a post on Twitter, specifically mentioned that the evacuation of Indian students from the northeastern city of Sumy was "particularly challenging".
Air India pilot Shivani Kalra writes, "When we landed in Delhi, every individual present there was clapping. I came out of the gate and saw the families cheering for us. I felt overwhelmed and proud."
An official said the government has started paying airlines for the rescue effort and most payments are expected to be completed by the month end.
On March 7 itself, 1,314 Indians were airlifted by seven civilian flights, the Ministry informed through a press statement. The Ministry also informed that the number of Indians airlifted by 73 special civilian flights now stands at 15, 206.
Ukraine-Russia war: India launched "Operation Ganga" to evacuate its nationals and sent four Union ministers as Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “special envoys” to Ukraine's neighbours to coordinate the exercise.
India has brought back over 15,920 of its nationals in 76 flights under mission ''Operation Ganga' which was launched on February 26 following Russia's military aggression against Ukraine, according to officials here.
"Under 'Operation Ganga' to rescue Indian citizens, 2,135 Indians have been brought back today (Sunday) by 11 special civilian flights from Ukraine's neighbouring countries," the ministry noted in a statement.
“We are evacuating thousands of Indians safely from war zone through Operation Ganga,” Modi said after inaugurating the golden jubilee celebration of Symbiosis University here.
Nearly 1000 Indian students are currently in the nearby city of Pisochyn, while another couple of hundred remain in other towns surrounding Kharkiv, Ujraine's second-largest city, the MEA said.
"The number of civilian flights is being scaled up further, and more than 7,400 people are expected to be brought through special flights in next two days," the Civil Aviation Ministry's statement informed.
Union Minister V Muraleedharan on Wednesday said that out of 20,000 stranded Indians in war-torn Ukraine, 6,000 have been brought back to the country so far and the Centre is making all efforts for the safe return of the remaining ones.
PM Modi’s comment about evacuation during the on-going Russia-Ukraine war comes a day before 57 seats of eastern Uttar Pradesh go to polls in the sixth phase of assembly polls on March 3. The last phase of the polling will be held on March 7 and the results will be announced on March 10.
Two flights each will be operated via Istanbul, from Delhi to the Hungarian city of Budapest and Poland's Rzeszow, IndiGo said. Two more flights will be sent from Mumbai to Romania's Bucharest via Istanbul, the airline added.
