Metro services between Yelachenahalli and Silk Institute stations on the Green Line (Silk Institute - Nagasandra) were disrupted for more than three hours on August 3. Many passengers were stranded at stations and on trains due to the service disruption following the incident. Following this, some passengers were forced to walk along the narrow pathway beside the elevated track to reach Doddakallasandra station in South Bengaluru after the train halted abruptly.
