The base trim is the Aura E which only gets the 1.2-litre petrol and manual transmission.
The Aura, which will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options, can be booked with a down payment of Rs 10,000 at Hyundai website and dealerships, the company said in a statement.
Both compact sedans share a common heritage of being derived from a compact hatchback.
The design sketches confirm that the car will be aesthetically based on the Grand i10 Nios, as it gets a cascading grille, projector headlamps and angular DRLs.
The company is also gearing up to unveil the Xcent’s replacement, Aura on December 19.
The Korean automobile manufacturer also recently revealed that the Aura will borrow its 1.2-litre petrol engine from the Grand i10 Nios.
Aura would come with both manual as well as automatic transmissions, Hyundai said.
