Mrs Bectors Food Specialities Ltd. on November 10 reported consolidated net profit at Rs 37.28 crore for the September quarter of FY24, registering a 70.15 percent from Rs 21.91 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year.

Total revenue of the company is Rs 414.5 crore, rising 19.3 percent from Rs 347.3 crore in the year-ago quarter, the company said in a regulatory filing.

In the second quarter of the fiscal year 2024, the revenue from the biscuit segment amounted to Rs. 259 crores, exhibiting a 25 percent increase from Rs. 206 crores in the same period of the previous fiscal year (Q2FY23). This growth, inclusive of both domestic and export biscuit segments, signifies a notable expansion. Specifically, the biscuit segment has shown a remarkable growth rate of 75.9 percent compared to Q2FY22.

Similarly, the bakery segment's revenue in Q2FY24 reached Rs. 140 crores, marking a 12 percent growth from Rs. 125 crores in Q2FY23, encompassing both retail bakery and institutional segments. The bakery segment has demonstrated substantial growth, amounting to 69.4 percent compared to Q2FY22.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBIDTA) for the quarter was at Rs 64.7 crore growing by 45.5 percent. EBIDTA margin was at 15.6 percent and grew by 281 bps YoY.

Our focus also continues to be on the export and QSR businesses, where we are supported by the growth of existing customers and addition of new ones. Geographical diversification backed by our distribution expansion, premiumization and marketing will be the key growth drivers for the company in the coming quarters." said Anoop Bector, Managing Director.
