Lotus Cars has entered the Indian market by introducing its electric SUV, the Eletre. The vehicle will be offered in three variants: standard (priced at Rs 2.55 crore), S (priced at Rs 2.75 crore) and R (priced at Rs 2.99 crore, all ex-showroom). Introduced globally in early 2022, the Eletre marks Lotus's inaugural venture into the SUV category. The vehicle boasts a sleek and athletic design characterised by its sharp headlights and hood-mounted air vents. Equipped with two spoilers, one at the top and another above the full-width tail lamp, the Eletre features a unique lightbar that illuminates green while charging, providing real-time charge status information.

The Eletre comes with 22-inch wheels as the standard option, but customers can choose from 20-inch or 23-inch wheels as well. The SUV is currently available in six different exterior colours: Natron Red, Galloway Green, Stellar Black, Kaimu Grey, Blossom Grey and Solar Yellow.
Every version of the car is equipped with a 112 kWh battery pack, allowing a maximum range of 600 km for the standard and S trims. In contrast, the Eletre R offers a slightly lower range of 490 km.
