After his controversial remarks on the BJP's performance in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, RSS leader Indresh Kumar attempted to do some damage control by clarifying and saying the polls show that those who opposed Lord Ram have been defeated and those who set the goal of restoring Lord Ram's glory are in power.
On June 14, Kumar sparked a row while speaking at the 'Ramrath Ayodhya Yatra Darshan Poojan Samaroh' near Jaipur. He said, "The party which did the bhakti (of lord Ram) but became arrogant was stopped at 241 but it was made the biggest party." This was apparently a reference to Narendra Modi-led BJP which got 240 seats in the Lok Sabha 2024, as per a PTI report. Those who had no faith in Ram, they together were stopped at 234, he said, apparently referring to the opposition INDIA bloc.
The RSS leader then clarified by saying, "The mood of the country is very clear at present. Those who opposed Lord Ram are not in power; those who set the goal to respect Lord Ram are in power and the government has been formed for the third time under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi," as per an NDTV report.
Earlier, an article published in 'Organiser', a mouthpiece of the RSS, stated that the Lok Sabha election results have come as a reality check for "overconfident" BJP workers and several party leaders as they were happy in their "bubble" and "enjoying the glow" reflected from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's aura.

The article, titled “Modi 3.0: Conversation for course correction”, said party workers did not listen to the voices on streets and added that targets like the one created by Modi of '400 paar' are achieved through hard work on the field and not by sharing posters and selfies on social media.
