PM Modi to unveil Rs 91,000-cr tech projects at UP Ground Breaking Ceremony on Feb 19

On February 19, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to give the greenlight to 60 mega projects in Uttar Pradesh, which are likely to attract Rs 91, 456.89-crore investment, and create nearly 81,424 jobs. This will be the fourth ground-breaking ceremony of the state, news agency ANI has reported.

The Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government is all geared up to unveil contracts of Rs 10 lakh crore for 14,000 projects in the Ground Breaking Ceremony 4 (GBC-4), ANI had reported earlier. The official announcement and signing of these agreements are scheduled for February 19 in the presence of PM Modi. The GBC will be held from February 19 to 21, news agency PTI reported.

These projects are aimed at revamping the technological landscape of the state, bringing in a wave of industrial revolution in Uttar Pradesh's tech space, and proper it to newer economic heights, according to a statement from the Department of IT and ITeS.

The statement noted that Noida Data Center Park being set up by NIDP Developers Private Limited is one of the big-ticket investments among these. The project encompasses an investment of  Rs 30,000 crore on 20 acres of land on the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority, and is anticipated to employ 2,160 individuals, ANI reported.

In addition, apart from the projects concentrated in western Uttar Pradesh, especially in Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Mathura, Agra, and YEIDA, multiple projects are lined up to come up in Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Basti, and Barabanki as well.
