Prime Minister Narendra Modi will mark his 75th birthday on September 17 by unveiling a host of health and welfare initiatives during a visit to Madhya Pradesh.
Modi will launch the "Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar" and the eighth National Nutritional Month from Dhar. He will unveil several other development initiatives and address a gathering, according to an official statement from the Prime Minister’s Office.
"More than one lakh health camps will be organised, making this the largest ever health outreach for women and children in the country. Daily health camps will be held in all government health facilities nationwide," it said.
The outreach will focus on screening, early detection and treatment for anaemia, tuberculosis, non-communicable diseases and sickle cell disease. It will also promote maternal and adolescent health, immunisation, menstrual hygiene, mental wellness and lifestyle changes, with specialist consultations available at district hospitals and medical colleges.
PM Modi will also transfer funds under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana directly into the bank accounts of eligible women across the country with a single click, the statement said. Nearly ten lakh women in the country will benefit.
He will also launch the Suman Sakhi Chatbot, to raise awareness on maternal and child health. The chatbot will provide timely and accurate information to pregnant women in rural and remote areas, ensuring access to essential health services.
As part of a campaign against sickle cell anaemia, Modi will give the 10 millionth Sickle Cell Screening and Counselling Card in the state.
PM Modi will also roll out the Adi Seva Parv, a campaign of service-oriented activities in tribal regions under the Adi Karmyogi Abhiyan. It will focus on health, nutrition, education, skill development, sanitation, water conservation and environment protection, with long-term development plans under Tribal Village Vision 2030.
In line with his 5F Vision – Farm to Fibre, Fibre to Factory, Factory to Fashion, and Fashion to Foreign, the prime minister will inaugurate the PM MITRA Park in Dhar.
Spread over more than 2,150 acres, the park will be equipped with world-class facilities, including a common effluent treatment plant, solar power plant, modern roads among others, making it an ideal industrial township. The park has already attracted investment proposals of over Rs 23,000 crore and is expected to create three lakh jobs, while also benefitting cotton farmers with better value for their produce.
Last year on his birthday, the Prime Minister was in Odisha, where he launched the state government's flagship women-centric initiative, Subhadra Yojana, besides railway and national highway projects.
